Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!

As the end of this year approaches, we can’t help but to reflect on how wonderful 2019 was. We hosted some of the most intimate weddings, held a lot of fun private events, and had our house become hundreds of peoples home away from home. We’re so thankful we get to meet so many new people here at our B&B, people we can now consider our friends and family. It’s because of you we can continue to do what we love here day in and day out.

Let’s take a look back at our 2019 and see all of the wonderful memories that have been made here…

A real special place! Not to mention the people who run it! Bill and Maria make you feel home, outside home. The breakfast is really something to look for and Bill company makes it invaluable. Maria’s strawberry cookies by the door every day, it’s something difficult to forget .. A great place to find refuge and escape from the city. We highly recommend it to everyone, an incredible experience, an experience of other times ..

I do not like B&B’s. This one I loved. The home itself is very nice… It was clean, well accessorized with tasteful items and lots of books, comfortable mattress, very efficient central air, and very quiet. The grounds were beautiful and as well maintained as the home. The highlight was the innkeeper Maria who is a sensational chef and caretaker. Pleasant and the best baker I have come across, you will never go hungry as guests seem to always have a selection of baked goods in their rooms and in the lobby (along with a coffee maker, tea, cold water, etc). Close enough to visit the CIA, and far enough from NYC to make a great weekend getaway.

My wife and I were looking to get away for Presidents’ Day weekend, and we could not be happier with our choice. The accommodations were clean, well maintained, and truly classy, with very nice antique furniture and decorations throughout. Our room even had a fireplace! The innkeeper, Maria, is very sweet, helpful, a great cook and baker. Breakfast was delicious, and Bill the owner was fascinating to speak with over breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Highly recommended!Jericho, New York. Date of stay: February 2019. Trip type: Traveled as a couple

Weddings & Events

Wonderful Wedding Venue!

“I cannot say enough about how beautiful and welcoming Bykenhulle House is! We visited several Hudson Valley venues, but Bykenhulle stole our hearts! It was a perfect destination for our small September wedding. From the planning stages to the post-wedding clean up, we worked closely with the Bykenhulle team, who was outstanding! Professional, carrying, responsive, and resourceful, they helped us coordinate all the details of the day, from room reservations at the B&B to the site visits with our florist (Floral Fantasies by Sara!) and the caterer (BridgeCreek Catering!). On the day of the wedding, Bykenhulle team, in concert with the Bridge Creek staff, made sure that our day was perfect! Our guests still talk about how gorgeous Bykenhulle House and gardens are!”

“Our daughter’s wedding was a great success due to a combination of the beautiful venue, great service and caring staff at the Bykenhulle. The ceremony on the gorgious landscaped grounds, the outdoor cocktail hour and the perfect reception space made it the most memorable event. It’s a beautiful historic property and we were also able to reserve all six rooms at the Inn for the wedding party which really made the experience extra special. Having the entire property dedicated to our event makes such a difference. Lola’s catering was a perfect match for us and they worked closely with the Bykenhulle to make everything seamlessly perfect. Loved everything about the wedding at the Bykenhulle House. We’ll never forget that day. Can’t say enough about it.”

Everyone I worked with at the Bykenhulle house was an absolute pleasure. They were able to customize our wedding so it fit perfect for our intimate wedding and able to have my father there who was in a wheelchair with no issues at all. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was exactly what we wanted which made our day much less stressful knowing they were there for anything we may need. I also can’t wait to stay there for our one year anniversary in the B&B!
